In addition to fixes and improvements, the build includes a new feature to clear browsing data on exit.

Dev channel update to 77.0.230.2 is live

Build includes a number of fixes as well as the following new features and behavior:

Added the ability to mark up screenshots with ink.
Prevented extensions that are banned from the Chrome extensions store from being installed.
Added messaging to better help users for some cases when Internet Explorer mode fails to start.
Added the ability to import settings from the original version of Edge.
Added additional text to identify when a window is InPrivate or Guest.

Dev channel update to 77.0.235.4 is live.

There was a known issue that caused Netflix playback to fail. This update from 77.0.235.4 to 77.0.235.5 addressed that issue.

Dev channel update to 78.0.244.0 is live

The update has many fixes and new behaviors as well as new features, several of which are the following:

Added an option in Settings to choose between light and dark themes.
Added the ability to import cookies from the existing version of Edge.
Added a policy to enable deleting browsing data upon exit.

Dev channel update to 78.0.249.1 is live

Highlights:

-- Tracking Prevention is fully available in the Canary and Dev Channels!
-- Form fill and password syncing is fully available in the Canary and Dev Channels!

*UPDATED* Dev channel update to 78.0.262.0 is live

Build 78.0.256.0 was postponed last week due to issues rolling it out. As a result, it was decided to release a newer build this week. All the notes for build 256 are included with the additions for this build 262 added with a "NEW" tag.

The Build includes major new functionality as well as stability fixes and behavior changes. In addition, there was some functionality removed.

[Updated] Dev channel update to 78.0.268.1 is live

This corrects an issue with our digital signature that prevented Microsoft Edge from working on Windows 10 S and caused some people to see an "unverified publisher" or similar message. There are no other changes in this update.

Dev channel update to 78.0.276.2 is live

This build is expected to be the final build for 78. As a result, it has a lot of fixes in it as well as the usual stability fixes and behavior changes. Also included are the following new features:

Added the ability to open all items in a Collection in new tabs.
Added dark theme support to edge://components.
Added a management policy for importing settings from another browser.

The build includes stability and behavior improvements as well as the following new features:

Enabled the static certificate pinning feature that was originally available in Chrome.
Added a keyboard shortcut to mute tabs on Mac.
Added support for hyphenated words when performing single-word intranet searches.

Dev channel update to 79.0.287.2 is live

In addition to many fixes, this build includes two long-awaited features: media autoplay blocking, and a more customizable new tab page! The media autoplay blocking setting under edge://settings/content/mediaAutoplay. Other new features include the following:

Re-added a prompt to enable Windows location settings if a site requests location permissions but OS-level location settings are disabled.
Enabled changing font size in Reading View.
Added middle click support to Collections items.
Added a tooltip to long Collection titles.
Added error messaging for when another program is preventing Edge from installing an update.
Added a policy to control the Renderer Code Integrity feature (see https://textslashplain.com/2019/09/27/aw-snap-every-tab-crashes/).

Added messaging to warn users when they install an extension that has the ability to change their search provider, home page, or new tab page.
Added improved messaging and reporting abilities when navigating to unsafe websites.
Added a button to set up syncing from the profile flyout.
