need help with anti-virus and spyware updates

i don't understand how to update my avg 8.0 anti-virus and spyware.in order for my program to work fully

Open your program click on the overview button on the left hand side then click on update manager once,
you there put a tick (check) in the box that says Start Automatic Updates then you  can set the time to get your update.
(IE: Every day 11.10)
 

you can also set it to periodically check for updates.
also if you want at your PC and want to just do a check for an update then right click your AVG icon in your taskbar.
