Pale Moon Version 28.5.0 Released

Pale Moon has been updated to version 28.5.0.  This is a major development and bugfix update.

Update:  To get the update now, select "Help" from the Pale Moon menu at the upper left of the browser window.  Click "About Pale Moon" and "Check for Updates".  However, with the change to the redesign of the "About box" in this update, when the next update is released, you'll find a "Check for updates" menu entry:

Odd. This is what I see with 28.4.1.



No check for updates. I could have sworn a link to check used to be there. ???

That may be one of the issues fixed ;) (I'm pretty sure I saw that mentioned recently, maybe re. one of the unstable versions?) Grab a full download: http://www.palemoon.org/download.shtml

I created that image after updating.  You won't see the "Check for Updates" in the new position until after you update to version 28.5.0.  It is still in the old position in version 28.4.1.

But that image I posted is with the old version and there used to be a button on that page right under the version number. I just checked with a computer that has been off line for awhile and it is still on V27.7.1 and sure enough, under the version number is a "Check for updates" button waiting to be clicked.

No big deal - just wondering why with 28.4.1 on that same About page/window, the Check for updates button is missing.

Digerati means the Check for updates button that was shown earlier in the About Pale Moon window (attachment 1). Now About Pale Moon is much more different indeed. And beautiful. :)
