Actually, that is very realistic.  My husband was born in Ukraine and learned English as a teenager here watching television.  He always had trouble with words beginning with "th" and "w".

I went to a University where the food service was local and a lot of the women were fluent in PA Dutch. They tended to pronounce words with the v and w reversed.
Any wegetables? Instead of  vegetables.
How's the veather? Instead of How's the weather?
Chugging coffee and computing!
