From End of services for old versions (previous milestones):

Since we've been on the current milestone 27 for almost a year now, and  we can't keep supporting all versions forever, we'll be ending services  for old versions soon.

This means in practice:

  • The  internal updater will no longer offer notifications or automatic updates  to the browser if you are still on 26.* or below. Please make sure to  upgrade as soon as possible.
After this ends, the way to upgrade will be using the installer of the latest version of Pale Moon.
  • End  of special-casing for Windows XP users. We'll be cleaning up the update  process and website to remove special information pages etc.
  • The  (ancient) Android version of Pale Moon will be removed (unpublished)  from the Play Store. The only way to still get this unsupported version  of the browser will be by side-loading the APK from the archives, if you  need it. Please note that continuing to use this very old version of  the browser bears a considerable security risk.
  • We will no longer provide blocklist updates for previous milestones.

The last and end of life version for android is 25.9.6; it is not being developed. I'll have to find the 2016 date.

The last version that works on XP is v 26.5; it is not patched. (Sept.28 2016)

Thanks, Corrine.

I always follow your news (and cogent suggestions). I've been running PM 27 since whenever it was initially released. Now on 27.5.1.

I only had Palemoon on one of my android devices, my 7" tablet. I let it remain because it was the best browser on there. I removed FF from that device simply because it wasn't as good as PM.  I rarely surf on it, like my XP computer. (If I'm at a hotspot, I'll fire up chrome just to be safer).

I have almost used Pale Moon over the last past years because it's easy to set up and safe! But but...I do really not like the latest version! >:( This because almost none of the add-ons from Firefox doesn't work with it anymore...it's a big shame indeed! >:(

Are any of the add-ons that don't work in the list of work-arounds or fixed/forked?  Pale Moon - Add-ons - Known Incompatible Add-ons

No, they are not shown there. The ones I make use of still works ok but are shown as outdated. Also when I go to to the firefox startsite, most of the popular add-ons does not work with the latest version of Pale Moon.

Frands, in the next version of Firefox 57, which appears in the release channel on 14 Nov., your old addons might not work because it is a completely new system.

Since I run FF ESR, I won't see any change until June of 2018 when the version of ESR I now run is no longer supported.

Thanks for the warning, plodr! :), well it is not a catastrophe for me because I do only make use of two add-ons and the one is only for making some downloading easier and it can be done in other ways. I just find it weird that the Firefox add-ons still comes with Pale Moon, when most of them does not work with Pale Moon.
I am happy with Pale Moon and I am lookin forward to see the new Pale Moon system! :)

I thought I bookmarked it but it was nowhere to be found.

Thanks for that one, plodr!! :) , I'll check it out!
