Many WinPatrol features have the option to set the time between Scotty's patrols. Scotty will patrol in "real time" for WinPatrol PLUS subscribers. This means that if there is a change to a monitored feature, immediate notification will be provided. With the free version of WinPatrol, it is up to the user to set the time between patrols.

Any time the clock icon is available, the time can be adjusted between patrols. Clicking the icon opens the option windows illustrated below.

  • WinPatrol PLUS subscribers have the option for Scotty to Monitor in Real-time as shown below.
  • For WinPatrol (free), Real-time monitoring is not available.  However, moving the slider all the way to the right will set monitoring to 30 minutes. To increase the length of time from 30 minutes before you want Scotty to patrol again, type in the number of minutes (up to 99) in the minutes box.
