When I try to log into Landzdown Forum I get this warning from Firefox  ( your connection is not secure)

I have no trouble using Google.

Using Windows 10 Pro 64 bit  version 1703  Build 15063-447
Firefox version 54.0.01

Are you using HTTPS Everywhere?  There are problems with the last SMF forum software update, installed last week, with HTTPS and it had to be disabled.  The developers are aware of the problem.

Edit Note:  Another option instead of disabling HTTPS Everywhere is to just change the URL in the address bar to HTTP.

Also clear the cache in Firefox. To begin with, we issued redirects to enforce users onto HTTPS, and this redirection will have been cached by your browser. Sometimes they don't get flushed naturally.
Beta. Software undergoes beta testing shortly before it's released. Beta is Latin for 'still doesn't work.'

Thanks for your advice Corrine and  SpyDie :)

I disabled HTTPS Everywhere, tried changing HTTPs to HTTP in the address bar. Cleaned cache, but to no avail still getting your connection is not secure.

Can you clarify where you're seeing the message?

If I go to http://www.landzdown.com in Firefox it shows a padlock with a line through it - clicking on it shows the message "Connection is Not Secure" which is accurate and 'by design' at the moment. Are you seeing it there or somewhere else?

pete

No I do not see a lock with a line through.

I get a pop up covering screen.

See attachment.

thanks for your assistance

Based on everything I see it is most likely a third party addon, in Firefox or your antivirus could have changed your certificates.

Look at this conversation here:

Try disabling your firefox addons. Corrine was in the right area on this, but not necessarily HTTPS everywhere.

Your FF screenie is still showing https and not http.
My bookmark for LzD is http, not https. When I change it to https, I get the full popup as you do, Pete. (Win 7 not Win 10)

Here are my options in https everywhere (I assumed that it would use https if available and drop to http when not or am I wrong about this?)

I don't really use https everywhere, was testing it. Regardless of what my settings are I don't get either http or https, just www.landzdown.com

I would clear your bookmark and browser history, disable https everywhere temporarily and see if disappears. If it does then try it with https everywhere enabled to test.

Thanks  techie  plodr for your assistance. :)

Disabled add on's in Firefox, still did not work.

Change site to www.landzdown.com and now is working with all Firefox add on's reactivated.

Once again thanks to everyone
