Greetings,

Problem downloading this version.  The download ends, a dialog box "this download appears to be corrupt", and there is no way to try again.  Wife and I have separate logons, so I removed AdBlock from both users.  Running Windows 7.  Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks, Mike

While I can't say that AdBlock+ specifically is impacted, be advised that FF is currently encountering a major problem with almost ALL of its extensions:
https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/bkfte9/if_you_have_issues_with_your_addons_being_marked/

I would wait until that issue is resolved, before taking any actions for AdBlock+.

Interesting link ky331. My normal browser is Palemoon but I fire up FF ESR daily to do online jigsaw puzzles. Last night in the middle of a puzzle, I get a yellow notice in the browser below my bookmarks toolbar that one of my addons is unsupported and will be disabled. I opened the addons. It appears that 5 of my formerly working addons have been disabled including noscript and uBlockOrigin!

One of the posts here has the addons that are affected

Don't waste time trying to download a new addon. Apparently that is also broken.

So I'll wait until Mozilla figures out how to fix it and I can get my addons working again.

Update Regarding Add-ons in Firefox | Mozilla Add-ons Blog
QuoteOur team has identified and rolled-out a fix for all Firefox Desktop users on Release, Beta and Nightly. The fix will be automatically applied in the background within the next few hours. No active steps need to be taken to make add-ons work again.

This has pretty much crashed the whole add on library and all current users add ons. The fix hasn't been applied yet. You will have to change your security and privacy settings in order to receive the fix if and when it is released. You will need to change your Security and Privacy settings to allow Firefox Data Collection and Use. This is a major fail for Firefox.

I saw pretty much all my extensions disabled last night, as described above with a yellow bar warning.

Firefox is now pushing out a fix using its "studies" feature... check your OPTIONS to be sure you have "studies" allowed.

Tools /  Options ->

             Privacy & Security ->

             Firefox Data Collection and Use

             Allow Firefox to install and run studies

Under the Firefox Data Collection and Use, you will also have to check:

Allow Firefox to make personalized extension recommendations.

I applied the above recommendations, my add ons were restored to working order after a little while. I then turned the Firefox Data Collection and Use options off and it is now working normally.

Greetings,

I was hoping for a reply, and wow!  Please accept my humble and sincere thanks to everyone who replied.  Not only do I have a solution, but the cause.  I had no idea it affected everyone.

Thanks again, Mike

Firefox Version 66.0.4,  May 5, 2019

Fixed

    Repaired certificate chain to re-enable web extensions that had been disabled https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2019/05/04/update-regarding-add-ons-in-firefox/

Note:  A small number of add-ons may be listed as unsupported or may not appear in about:addons. Their data is not lost; users should be able to re-install the add-ons and recover the data (Bug 1549129 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1549129).

Pete!

I was one of the people who "studies" didn't help.
That experience let me see how bad the web has become.

I expected to see more ads, but the number of things that ESET, MBAM, and some of the newer built-in Firefox security functions had to stop was amazing.

Even "legitimate" newspapers & news-sites had hidden traps in their ads.

plodr

I'm with you, Pete, on the amazing amounts of ads on legitimate sites!
My android tablet is showing me ads I've never seen. I had to resort to using a different browser to cut down on the ads.

I finally found an about:config tweak that will help until Mozilla loads 66.0.4 for android on googleplay.
I found the ftp site for mobile browsers earlier but didn't have a clue which version to download. I was afraid I'd break something to I searched for another fix.
