Microsoft Edge 127.0.2651.74 now offers a toggle-option for its Secure Network, a built-in VPN that can help secure your network connection from online hackers, protect against online trackers and keep your location private.

You'll get 5GB of free Secure Network data each month when you sign in to Edge with your Microsoft Account.

The recommended "optimized" setting automatically protects your traffic when using public WiFi, unsecure networks, or visiting a site without a valid HTTP certificate;  while conserving VPN data using by routing streaming and video content outside of its secure network.

Select Settings and more  > Privacy, search, and services , and under Security, turn on the Microsoft Edge Secure Network toggle.

Remark:   This toggle is LOCKED as DISABLED (and can't be changed) for "managed" browsers... which unfortunately includes anyone who has ever enabled protection by SpywareBlaster (even if you subsequently disable it!  If you keep SpywareBlaster disabled, there is a registry fix to "unmanage" Edge.)
