Not that I am particularly proud of it but I cannot enter my birthdate into my profile. It just goes back to the default (nonsense) date. I have tried several times on different keyboards.  ???

Are you sure you're selecting "Forum Profile" from the Profile drop-down options located at the top of the forum?

Yes and I still have 0001-01-01 as my birthdate. I also tried a different browser (Edge) with no joy.

I just discovered that it is a "known issue" in the last version update to Simple Machines Forum software.  Since it is considered a "minor issue", an update hasn't been issued for it.
