Title: Am I infected? testonsecurity.com & security troubleshooting
Post by: davep1234567 on August 31, 2006, 12:24:26 PM
I've noticed two new icons/names on my computer calling themselves testonsecurity.com & security troubleshooting.  I have downloaded HijackThis - v1.99.1 and run through the steps to get to being able to copy and paste the results:  Let me know what to do next.  Thanks very much.  David

What happens when you hit the F8 key repeatedly? It goes straight into Windows still?

IE cannot get into safe mode

Safe mode allows a minimal set of device drivers and services to start Windows ... the idea is to allow access to the Windows interface without loading any unnecessary drivers or software.  Generally, you will not be allowed to browse the Internet when Windows runs in Safe mode.
