Title: firefox 2 and cookie management
Post by: mitch on October 25, 2006, 04:56:19 AM
ok i have not installed it yet but
on the linux forms there appears to be a MAJOR difference in firefox
(firefox was the same on windows and linux untill this version)

in cookie control you no longer have the option of selecting
all
original site only
no cookies

in preference

BUT if you do a "about:config"  ( no quote marks and do that in the url address spot)

look for

network cookie.cookie behavor

and if you change
0=all cookies
1= original site only
2=no coolies allowed

don't know if windows is the same or not on the missing cookie control?????

Installed on Windows XP here and pretty much the same;

The default theme has changed and looks bad IMO, but you can get a version of the old Winstripe (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3479/) for Firefox 2.0.

I'm having a few problems with old passwords too, may have to reset.

:firefox:
