ok, im working on an e-machine and i have 2 problems. first is:
after cold/warm boot i get from the taskbar a notice that ethernet controller needs to be installed. i also get the box on the desktop that should allow me to install the prog. i have no disk for this prog and ive tried the net search but nothing. i would like to shut this notice and box off :) any ideas please.
2nd: i have to "safely remove hardware" on cold/warm boot for a "usb mass storage device". there is no such device with this box now. how can i stop this.
ive done file search, nothing. ive ran msconfig nothing there either for the above 2 problems. ive checked at answers that work and nothing.
does anyone one have any solutions to the above. they are driving me crazy :lol:

problem solved by mitch.
device manager was the key. geez i feel like a newbie again :lol:
