After submitting above 'hjt' log and not having any replys  concerning 'problems' I'm wondering if I might have posted something wrong. I have noticed that reading other topics that it sometimes seems that the person will state 'How did I get this trojin, etc'...............almost like after scanning thru log they are able to identify the problem. Hope I'm making myself clear. Again thanks for any info and help. Lots of good information here.

What problems are you having exactly?

Open HijackThis again, and scan with it. Check the box next to each of the entries I have listed:

Click 'Fix Checked'. Once it's "fixed" those items, restart the computer. Post a fresh logfile from HijackThis and tell me if things have improved.

Thanks for for advice........actually I went ahead and fixed 3 out of the 4..................2 iminstaller/zzz-iminstaller and 1 'popscrsav' while waiting for help........after some research decided those should go, little anxious but then it's my wife's pc and she has been having problems with wireless connection............shows strong signal, just difficult loading pages and seems always running ,like things in background. I appreciate your advice and did fix the last item you mentioned     .........vvsn.Think I'll try and switch from wireless to wired on her pc. Thanks again....all the best.

Well I would try wired instead of wireless. However Windows XP does come with the  'Wireless Zero Configuration' service. This is not the most reliable of programs, and can cause conflicts if used with a manufacturers software (the software that came with the card). So something else you might try is to make sure the Zero Configuration Service is turned off also. (Click Start> Run > type in services.msc and hit Enter. It'll be at the bottom of the list.)
