Title: Net Framework
Post by: pete on July 17, 2007, 12:58:08 PM
Hi everyone

I have a question i had installed on the computer Microsoft Net Framework versions 1.1 also version 2.0 and version 3.0

To cut a long story short i uninstalled them, but at a later date i want to reinstall versions 1.1 and version2.0 only.
But i noticed in my Windows Folder i have a folder called Microsoft Net and in this folder there are leftovers from Net Framework, would this cause a problem reinstalling. :help:

I am using Windows XP Home Edition with SP@ and all updates.

There have been some problems experienced with NET Framework after recent updates, in particular, KB928365.

There is the NET Framework Cleanup Tool:

More recently:
KB928365 for MS07-040 Leaves Some Managed Applications Sluggish (http://blogs.msdn.com/heaths/archive/2007/07/13/kb928365-for-ms07-040-leaves-some-managed-applications-sluggish.aspx)

Perhaps right to the point is something that came up in the Newsgroups: microsoft.public.windowsupdate:

QuoteKB928365 and KB928366  PROBLEM SOLVED  READ!!!!

Go to the windows update page. Unchecked the updates and expand the tree (click on + sign). Choose to hide these updates.
