Hi Landzdown. :D
Im seeking a program wich make you able to make a connection to an open port in a computer?
This is not a illegal purpose, but for testing a firewalls ability to log intruders.
I've tried to google one, but that is not possible.
It should run on Windows XP, and I would be happy if it have a User Interface, so you don't need to remember all the "codes" for diffrent actions.
Any suggestion is welcome.
But if there are other ways to try a firewalls ability to log intruders, then let me know. Because I know this is sounding like I want to do something illegal, so if there are other ways, then let me know them.
Best regards, Tesk :Hammys pint:
Hi Tesk,
I may be straying beyond my technical abilities, in posting this reply. But since no one else has replied, I'll give it my best.
If you go to this page:
https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2
and click on the Proceed button, it will test your firewall and produce a report for you. You may want to read the material in the box just above the button. I'm pretty sure it will give you the results you want.
I know it's not a program that you can keep on your 'puter, but I'm pretty sure it will give you the info you want.
It seems to me I've come across another such site, but I can't seem to put my finger on it. If I find it anytime soon, I'll post a link to it in another reply.
Thanks for the reply.
But I was looking for a software, there should be trying to "hack" a computer. Not just a portscanner.
In this software package there are many usefull tools. But im not sure if the software contains spyware.
This is this package I was looking at: http://users.pandora.be/ahmadi/nettools.htm
But try to see McAfee SiteAdvisor report of the site: http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/users.pandora.be/ahmadi?ref=safe&aff_id=0
But it seems to be usefull.
I've mailed with the owner of the site, and he explained that all that "stuff" McAfee find in the downloads on his site was "False Positives". But im not sure, because he won't admit if he uses spyware in his programs.
