Hi!
I dont know if this is right place to post this but I give it a try!
When the users do a scan with the AVG Antispyware and when the scan is completed they cant use the Save Reports As-buttom. That buttom is greymarked.
I have looked around at Internet but dont find any reports about this problems. I have also visit the Wilders Security Forums have found nothing about this problems.
I wonder if any one here know if there is a problems with the AVG Antispyware?

Do you have a link to the thread? Could the malware have deactivated the software (i.e., MSN Virus)? The main issue, however, is that guard.exe must be running, which means that AVG cannot be run in safe mode:
Quote from: peter.ewidoguard.exe absolutely needs to be running in the new version. Some of the main functionality like cleaning, analysis tools etc. had to be outsourced from avgas.exe to guard.exe. If you stop guard.exe after avgas.exe has been started, the analysis tools will stop working, you will not be able to clean/delete files etc.

Hi Corrine!
Thank you for the answer!
Yes I have a link but it's in swedish.
There is no malware the system is clean and they can do a scan in safe mode "no problems" but they cant use the buttom "Save reports As".
Its the same if they do a scan in normal mode.
I found this one belong. Do you think this can help?

Me and my spelling
This word is wrong => belong <= I mean Below
Yes, if the user is attempting to run AVG in safe mode that may help. Otherwise, s/he may need to uninstall AVG and try reinstalling it.

Hi Malou
That patch is only for if you can't run a scan in safe mode. But you can do that if I understand you well.
If AVG finds nothing what kind of report do you want?
If it find something and you take some action you can create a report for that.
I think that's the way it should work.
Gerard
You're welcome, Malou. Let us know if it works.
@Gerard -- the latest release of AVG AntiSpyware (v7.5.1.36) does not work in safe mode without that Registry patch from http://fileserver.ewido.net/public.cgi?id=20990 .
I misunderstood then if Malou wrote:

Forgive me :)

I did some more research and see that the promised update to AVG A/S to solve the safe mode problem was released some time ago. Version Release Notes for 7.5.1.43:
- Fixed inability to run in safe mode
- Fixed endless loop in full system scan on Vista
- Fixed premature ending of trial on Vista
- Fixed partial failure of report generation
- Fixed wrong behavior of tray icon for free users
I understand that there was also a problem with the installer with the previous version which should also have been repaired.
Hi Corrine!
QuoteLet us know if it works.
That little patch fixed the problem with the "Save Reports As" buttom
:mitch:
So it's not only for the safe mode problems what I can see now.
