Been having pop-up and virus problems.
Ran AVG, Symatec&Vundo-fix.They found a few problems & fixed them, But I am still getting pop-ups

Hi, J0501. Sorry for the delay in responding. My time has been more limited than usual. Since you will be disconnected from the internet during the cleanup process, please copy or print the instructions below.
Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune from http://www.atribune.org/content/view/40/2/ (http://www.atribune.org/content/view/40/2/) . Save it to your Desktop.
Please also check SUPERAntiSpyware for updates.
Please download
VundoFix.exe (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4) to your desktop.
- Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
- Click the Scan for Vundo button.
- Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
- You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
- Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
- When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
- Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the
Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.
Please reboot your computer in
Safe Mode by doing the following :
- Restart your computer
- After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
- Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
- Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
- Choose your usual account.
Run ATF Cleaner
- Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
- Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
- Click the Empty Selected button.
- Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

Run SUPERAntiSpyware
- Open SUPERAntiSpyware and click the Scan your Computer button. Making sure that Fixed Drive (NTFS) is checked (typically the C Drive)
- Check "Perform Complete Scan", then click Next. SUPERAntiSpyware will now complete a system scan.
-- SUPERAntiSpyware will now scan your computer and when its finished it will list all the infections it has found.
-- Make sure that they all have a check next to them and click next.
-- If prompted allow the reboot (or manually reboot at this time), and after the reboot open SUPERAntiSpyware again (double click the bug-shaped Taskbar icon).
- Click Preferences, then under the Statistics/Logs tab, click to select the most recent Scan Log, then click View Log.
- Save the log to your desktop, and copy/paste the text from the log back here.
Post a reply with the new HijackThis log (Please UNcheck Word Wrap in Notepad [(Click Format > UNcheck Word Wrap)], C:\vundofix.txt, the SUPERAntiSpyware Scan log and let us know how your PC is doing. :rose:

Unfortunately, SunJava does, in my opinion, a lousy job of maintaining the software. When new updates are released, its the whole package and the old versions are not removed. Not only do they take up room on the computer hard drive, but those old vulnerable versions can be called out by Virtumundo, which is likely what happened in your situation.
First things, first, then is to remove the old vulnerable versions of Sun Java and get the latest update. See the illustrated instructions in my blog post at http://securitygarden.blogspot.com/2006/09/sunflowers-and-sunjava-update.html
Next, to check if your system is missing security updates or has insecure applications installed, visit http://secunia.com/software_inspector/ . The Secunia Software Inspector runs through your browser with no installation or download required and does the following:
- Detects insecure versions of applications installed
- Verifies that all Microsoft patches are applied
- Assists you in updating your system and applications
