I just learned of a new product today. Many of you may already know about it, but I figured maybe some might not.
It is called SpoofStick.

SpoofStick is a great item in different versions for those using Firefox or MS Internet Explorer as browsers. 8)
I've used it for some years until I recently decided to not bother using Internet Explorer any more. :D

I found SpoofStick to be extremely limited in what it displays and any protection that it affords is entirely in the hands of the operator. There are a variety of other products that offer more in the way of information to the knowledgeable surfer and better protection for those who aren't. I put together a list of readily available antiphishing toolbars (http://www.deckertechnology.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=544). The products that I have found to be most capable include links to reviews which include complete lists of the information that each provides to the user.

I totally agree with you that SpoofStick is extremely limited and it can't be compared in the same division as the products with more developed functionality that you've tested.
Thanks for linking to your informative reviews which I have read with great interest. I appreciated your note on the use of a search functionality like AskJeeves in TrustWatch Toolbar. AskJeeves use some practises that are discussed with interest in the security community.
If I still would have used MS IE, then I surely would have installed either Netcraft Toolbar or FraudEliminator Toolbar instead of using SpoofStick.

@Jason: Both the Netcraft and FraudEliminator bars are available for Firefox and work well. I use both just for the heads up display of most of what I want to know about a site that I have never been to.
@Oldfrog: Thanks mate :thumbsup:, but I ought to have mentioned that I'm using Opera which is an extremely popular browser over the pond where I'm at.
Lots of people are using "the Fox" here too, and I will recommend them both the Toolbars, and of course a visit to the Decker Technology Forum.

Ah, I have Opera as well and you are correct about none of the products that I am aware of having been adapted to Opera as yet.

OF, my friend, we would never think that of you. In fact, you don't even have a link to DT in your signature. I think its time to fix that. It is a good site.
I knew the folks that know me wouldn't think that but posting your own link in your first post on a site can sometimes raise eyebrows.
