Hey all,
My computer's been having trouble ever since I let my ex-roomate borrow my laptop. First Mozilla Firefox wasn't able to connect to the internet, while Internet Explorer could. So, I begrudgingly used Internet Explorer, until recently when it started to be unable to connect to the internet, even when I'm connected to a good wireless connection.

First thing is to stay away using this PC in safe mode with networking (connecting to the internet).
What anti virus does this PC have ? I am not seeing one :(

Run another HJT scan, in the normal mode, but before you do we need to change the name of HJT program.

I can't see any real problems with the log....I would not want "Myway" on my PC, up to you. It comes with newer Dell PCs.

Here is your Java update directions, in case we don't hear back from you:
Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system.
Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.- Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 5 (http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp) and save it to your desktop.
- Scroll down to where it says "The Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications."
- Click the "Download" button to the right.
- Read the License Agreement and then check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement". The page will refresh.
- Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation and save the file to your desktop.
- Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
- Go to Start > (Settings) > Control Panel, double-click on Add/Remove Programs and remove all older versions of Java.
- Check (highlight) any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
- Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
- Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
- Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
- Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u5-windows-i586-p.exe to install the newest version.

And yeah, if you're referring to the X3 Watch, I installed that purposefully. If you're not referring to the X3 Watch, I don't know about that and would like to know more.

Yes, X3 is what BG was referring to.
Is there a way for you to hardwire your connection to the router? It would be useful to know if the internet issue is only when you attempt a wireless connection.
You might try temporarily disabling ZoneAlarm and try to connect ... if no joy, that will rule out a firewall configuration issue.
Something really useful to know ... what changed between the time things worked and the time they didn't?
OK, I'll answer your questions in order, winchester.
I plugged the network cable from the router directly to the computer, and no dice.
I did try disabling the firewall, and that didn't work either.
As to what changed...well, I'm not sure. Like I said, I let my old roommate borrow my computer to "look something up", but that got me some bad spyware/malware/whatever that caused a lot of problems, and I had to use SmitFraudFix to get rid of it. That bad software is still in the registry, though, because it's in the add/remove programs list, but it is dormant and doesn't cause any obvious problems. Another thing I forgot to mention is that startup after I sign in to Windows is extremely slow noew, and occasionally multiple "Autorun" windows pop up and start running for just a second, but it's enough to disrupt whatever I'm doing. It just seems pretty fubar to me.
