As is tradition with the group that now comprises the LzD Team, we have begun donning our Halloween costumes. You are all encouraged to join us in the fun!
Corrine,
But of cause we are ready :tease:
GR@PH;<'S :breakkie:
Heh, very good. I think my avatar need only to dawn an orange or black mask in exchange for the helmet.
Look at how nicely Herumutsu cleaned up the background of my Halloween avatar. He's the best!!!

You just can't seem to do without that pretty little flowerbud now can you. :)
That's right. My (https://www.landzdown.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fforums.manageyourpc.com%2Fstyle_emoticons%2Fdefault%2Frose.gif&hash=d5d947916944dc8faa5f7798aee25126c4d1b5a5) goes with me to all the sites.

You're lookin' quite fearsome, Herumutsu!
Boo! Back and ready to go
I love it! Most spooky, indeed!

Seems to be a nice tradition, and of course "I'm on..."!
It would be much appreciated if anyone can recommend a decent (non-crapware) program, preferably freeware, with opportunity to handle animated pictures for an avatar?
Otherwise I'm rather "dressed for the occation" all year around, so to speak. :moreevil:
Would be nice with some change of "clothes" for a while though.
Jason ;)
Jason,
If you mean to host your Avatar you could try
Yoxio (http://www.yoxio.com/)
QuoteOtherwise I'm rather "dressed for the occation"
now just as a thought you could always remove the mask (https://www.landzdown.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmilies.sofrayt.com%2Ffsc%2Fwhistle.gif&hash=fa94da78824024725fe622120b94fcdaf2e33208)

The GIMP (http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html) can handle that with the necessary plugins (see additional "GIMP Animation Package" at the bottom of the page), though you'll probably want to get used to the interface first. It is much easier to use than the first impression might indicate. If you're interested, you may want to check out "Tips for using The GIMP (http://members.home.nl/m.weisbeek/gimp/)".

Thanks for the tip on Yoxio mate!
When reading properties I can see that you've got your avatar at Yoxio but some other friends in here have theirs on LzD.
I guess your choice is because you link from that position to different forums instead of placing an avatar on each of the forums?

Removing the mask is of course an option, but there's a great risk that it would make me feel as dressed as a newborn child.
Jason :)
Awe, come on, Jason. We want to see the handsome smile behind the mask. Go ahead, take off the mask.

The reason I asked is because handling of animated pictures is one of the few things around computers I haven't been into yet.
I saved the links you provided and I will definitely download GIMP and check it out.
I've heard good things from others earlier around the program, but the name didn't pop up in my head until you mentioned it.
Jason ;)

You've already seen some skin (http://www.landzdown.com/index.php/topic,1485.msg7631.html#msg7631) when I was comforting sweetie.
And... No, I'm not Al Bundy, but perhaps a look-alike... You'll never know out here in Cyberspace. :moreevil:
Jason
What??? You mean that this isn't you behind the mask? (https://www.landzdown.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fpics.novica.com%2Fpictures%2F10%2Fp78676_3.jpg&hash=68b84234864ce17388be045811db39d029abc781)

You're most welcome. :)
@ Corrine: Hehe, how the *beeeep* have you got hold of a copy of my driving licence picture?
Special connections I guess, Awe, or perhaps someone at the authorities returning an old favour.
Boo to ya all! :muahaha:
 I'll never tell.

You did it! Your avatar is great. (BTW, we do the avatar switch for other holidays too. :) )

Great! Different countries have different traditions. Does weekends count as holiday too? :tease:
(Nighty-Night to you all friends out there, cause it's almost 3 a.m. in Sweden by now  )
Good night, Jason.
Jason,
I take it that this was you in your younger days :tease:

Yeah, your right GR@PH;<'S
That halloween avatar is from my younger days when cognac still had the ability to make me more agile and move around.
A sharp contrast to my original avatar which shows me more like the stiff guy I've become after passing that 108th birthday.
Awesome smilie you've found with that mask btw. Got to save that link for future use. Thanks!
Jason ;)
