For those of you that had been following our ongoing saga with our Great Dane Majic and his cancer diagnosis, well he fought the good fight but we had to put him down Monday evening. He was no longer able to stand or walk and was at the point I knew there was suffering involved and we were not going to let him suffer. Our great vet and her staff came over to our home and it was very peaceful, he was in his familiar surroundings, circled by those that loved him. This has been extremely difficult for us, I am not functioning very well and likely will not be for a while.
Thanks for all the prayers and support.

@ R-C,
Aw geez I am so, so sorry to hear this news! Although we all knew it was coming. You do have a great vet, it brought tears to my eyes visualizing that awesome scene. So very, very beautiful. I know your heart is broken, but time will heal it. But you and your Majic are in my thoughts. Have peace in your mind and love in your heart and it will become bearable. You did all you could do and then you knew....
With Love & Hugs for your grief, Niecarrah (https://www.landzdown.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi177.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fw232%2FNiecarrah%2FSadness%2Fanimated_lady_crying.gif&hash=a46c9a35b7bd8c63fa6ac137219fc4cf4c0b7e60)

my condolences.
having had a large dog for 8 years and likewise having to put him down, i truly can sympathize.
thanks everyone, I am dealing, not easy by any means but the little one MiaMilan is helping to keep me distracted. I find myself looking for Majic several times a day. My wonderful Vet sent me the most beautiful huge arrangement of flowers, with stargazer lilies, hydrangea, orchids and other lovely flowers, she is definitely a keeper.
