:rose: in SPYBOT, what are:
"english descriptions"
"english language" updated english language file ?
2) is it advisable to use TEA-TIMER ? i never have, but it might have stopped some infections. Any hassles, incompatibilities with other products? (i'm getting some real-time protection from microsoft anti-spyware beta 1)
thanx :rose:
Hi, babyoh. Not everyone is native English speaking. The developers of Spybot Search and Destroy are located in Germany and have provided English translations. Spybot's TeaTimer is an excellent software. Of course you should consider using TeaTImer.
I would also suggest that you install and update both SpywareBlaster & SpyGuard to prevent the installation of spyware and other potentially unwanted software:
SpywareBlaster -- http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
SpywareGuard -- http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareguard.html
:rose:
corrine, thank you so much for your help.
*** i should be downloading updates for "english descriptions" then.
now, i've got a load of security stuff running. outside of adaware sometimes flagging spybot's quaratined files, as far as you know these work together fine? --
spybot s&d
microsoft anti-spyware beta 1
adaware se personal
spyware blaster
bazooka
(plus symantec filewall & anti virus)
:rose: :rose:
also - tea-timer is easy, safe, self-explanatory? real-time, running in the background apps sometimes fight one another.
THANKS AGAIN. HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY :rose:

Here is some information about TeaTimer : http://www.safer-networking.org/en/faq/33.html
It looks like you are running a tight computer here! All these programs work fine together
Spybot Search & Destroy, Microsoft Anti-spyware, Ad-aware SE, Spyware blaster, Symantec Firewall and Anti-virus!
I have personally not heard of Bazooka, but I will check with the other LzD team members, they are wiser than me :tease: (older in somecases also)

This is because Ad-aware "sometimes" finds part of a file in the Spybot backup, which is included in its definition file. This is a harmless finding. And they both work fine together.
:) The biggest security risk on your computer is...... someone forgetting to update all these programs :tease:
Ok, as I said, I have checked with the other members of the LzD team.....
Can you please tell me the full name of Bazooka?
Otherwise, you are running a tight ship :)
bazooka scanner v 1.12.02
company: kephyr
designed by: Roger Karlsson
-- it's a good app; it's caught malware EVERYTHING else missed
All seems safe then, our concern was of another program containing the work: Bazooka, which is listed in Eric Howe's Rogue Anti-spyware list: http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm
 But thank you for your co-operation
To keep your computer safe
-Make sure you have all critical updates installed.
-To make sure that you have got a firewall running when your connected to the internet and Anti-virus software which has the latest updates.
