Hi Friends,
I've just been looking at a program called "Enough Is Enough!"
It locks down the Internet Zone and installs something called "IE PowerTweaks WebZone" which puts buttons on the toolbar for quickly adding sites to the other zones (according to the description).
I would very much like to have the latter, as I have already "manually" locked down my browser. So the buttons would make it so much easier to put new sites into the Trusted Zone (once I conclude they are trusted ;))
But I have meticulously configured my security zones, to meet my own unique needs. So I don't want or need the part of this program which locks down the browser. It would probably change some settings slightly, and I don't want to have to re-do them. However, I have been unable to find this IE PowerTweaks WebZone as a stand-alone product. Since it is referred to by name, I would assume it exists by itself, but searches have turned up nothing. Could it be called something else, or maybe the site where I found Enough Is Enough has it wrong?
Does anyone know where I can get the IE PowerTweaks WebZone (as a stand-alone)? I would so appreciate this info :flowers: !
OR is there a way to save my security zone settings? Like you can export you mail acct settings, to save them. Is there some similar ability for the security zones? If so, then I could save my current settings, install "Enough Is Enough!", and return the settings to my preferences. If there weren't so many, I would just write them down...can't select/Copy either.
Thanks for your help :)
Brynn,
Do you use Zone Alarm as it has the LOCK witch will as it implies LOCK your PC down so nothing can get in or out unless you allowed it (https://www.landzdown.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fsmilies.sofrayt.com%2Ffsc%2Fwink2.gif&hash=026d7c7f666300aa5560f32f726a9d4a87a10844)
GR@PH;<'S :breakkie:
I don't use Zone Alarm. And as I said, I don't want/need the lock down features, because I have already locked down (maximum paranoia) the Internet and Restricted Zones. But I would like to have the other part, IE PowerTweaks WebZone, which apparently puts buttons on the toolbar, making it quick and easy to add new sites into the Trusted and Restricted Zones.
Here's the page that describes Enough Is Enough!

Oh, I guess I left out parts of the name -- technically, what I want is called:
Microsoft's IE PowerTweaks WebZone Accessory
In the Overview, it's the 4th bulleted feature.
Can someone tell me where I can find this Accessory?
Or, if you could tell me how to save my security zones settings, I could get the Enough Is Enough program, and not have to worry about it changing my settings.
Thanks for your help :)
Brynn,
The option to do what you propose is outlined in the README.TXT file included with Enough is Enough. Download the .zip version and unzip it to a desktop folder, then browse to the README file. Or you could just read through the file on the Web HERE (https://netfiles.uiuc.edu/ehowes/www/res/enough.txt).
G'LUCK!
