Title: Vista Dpi won't go to a lower number
Post by: heidiho on November 29, 2010, 02:21:04 AM

My font and screen for my games and every other site I went to was too small and hard to read so I reset my dpi to 192 but that was way too big and now it won't go back.
I can barely see the top of button on the bottom of the screen to change the percent but when I can click on it and change the percent to different numbers and click ok it just goes right back to the dpi window and the sequence starts all over again.
I've tried to restart it and also shut pc down for 5 minutes but it comes right back up to the 192 dpi {the customized setting}.
Why won't it change to the 120 that I'm setting it to?
What can I do?
The window is so BIG, it's hard to get around at this huge size.
I sure made a mess of things trying to make them better. lol
Hope someone can help soon.
Thanks so very much for your time and have a very nice evening.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium
Dell Studio 1737
Browser: I alternate between IE and Firefox.

I went to start/settings/control panel/personalization
left panel shows adjust font size (dpi)
I went in there to change it and that's where it's stuck on 192 dpi and when I change it to a lower # it just goes back to the BIG one.
Thanks
