Window 7 Home Premium version.
Dad (bless 'im) accidentally blew a fuse so my computer unexpectedly died.
When I powered it back up it had an option for Chkdsk....so I ran it.
A few hours later....I'm wondering why I was stupid enough to follow a suggestion from Microsoft.
Several songs that I had on my Windows Media Player are now filled with stutters and stammers.
I tried moving the files to my laptop and they played fine, so I'm pretty sure the problem is with WMP.
Went to MS Official Website to download a fresh version of WMP12.
Did you know they don't provide a link? Just a notice that it comes free with Windows 7. (No duh? So did Chkdsk. Woo.)
Anyway, since MS is being a pill (and since I'm overly fond of music) I'd like to get a different player that isn't iTunes. (Been there, done that.)
Any suggestions, oh wise ones? :thud: (Just pretend that icon is me falling down at your feet in worship.)

For some reason it seems that the Foobar2000 one is a good one, but I have not tried it out.
