One "new" feature that I do not like is that the "find bar" is no longer shared between tabs. As a result, if searching for text on multiple tabs, it is necessary to open it on each tab. As a result, it is necessary to open the find bar manually when searching multiple tabs.
The keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F opens the find bar. Another option is to install an extension that enhances search options. There are two extensions that I am aware of that include the search all tabs function along with additional functionality:
- FindBar Tweak (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/findbar-tweak/?src=search)
- Hugo (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/hugo/?src=cb-dl-updated)
UpdateTo get the update now, select "Help" from the Firefox menu at the upper left of the browser window, then pick "About Firefox." Mac users need to select "About Firefox" from the Firefox menu.
If you do not use the English language version, Fully Localized Versions (http://tps://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html) are available for download.

I agree. I hate that change. I use that find bar same-on-all-tabs function DAILY.
I'm glad to know there will be an extension that will allow something similar. I'll be checking those out. Thanks for the info, Corrine.
[Edit: both of those do way too much other stuff. I hope someone comes up with just the simple fix to restore that one function. I may not even update FF for a while because of this.]
I tried the two extensions also and didn't find them useful for my purposes. It is easier to use the Ctrl + F keyboard shortcut.
