Title: Wifi won't stay connected
Post by: anna1362 on March 07, 2014, 03:37:46 PM
I recently moved and my lap top won't stay connected to the wifi. It only stays connected for about 3 minutes. Status says: Acquiring network address. I turned the windows firewall off...didn't help. I hope you all can help me.
Thank you, Anna1362

anna1361,
Just a thought but try unplugging your router completely
for a few minuets.
That way any static build up would be discharged.
Then plug it back in and try that .
Failing that you can always go into your router settings and
change the channel for your wifi. (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/21132/change-your-wi-fi-router-channel-to-optimize-your-wireless-signal//)

Good suggestion, Hammy.  I quoted your reply in the new topic she started.  http://www.landzdown.com/computer-problems-questions-and-solutions!/wifi-will-not-stay-connected/new/#new
