Hello!
I'm a little confused. The following item appears in my WinPatrol Report Log:
Tray Application
VProTray.exe Tray Application
Version: 15.0.1 Copyright © 1994-2010 Symantec Corporation. All rights reserved.
Path: C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\NORTON GHOST\Agent\VProTray.exe
First Detected by WinPatrol: 03/05/2014 8:49 PM
Click for Plus Info
But there is no listing for "Tray Application" (or Symantec or Ghost) in my Startup Programs Tab or my Delayed Start tab.
Can anyone explain?
Cheers,
Jay
Hi, Jay. Welcome to LandzDown Forum!
This may help explain the entry better: http://www.systemlookup.com/Startup/19324-VProTray_exe.html
Do you have Norton Ghost installed?
Hi Corrine,
Thanks very much for your response! Yes, I was aware of the file's reason for being.
What I don't understand is why it shows in the log, but not in the startup tab? That's really what I'm asking.
Any ideas?
Cheers,
Jay
Hi, Jay.
Did you install or update WinPatrol on March 4th or 5th? When WinPatrol scans your system for the first time, it will use that date as first detected.
Is VProTray.exe shown in Processes in Windows Task Manager?
