Mozilla sent Firefox Version 30.0 to the release channel. The update includes five (5) Critical and two (2) High security updates.
Unfortunately, the issue introduced with version 29.1 that many users have experienced with slow shut downs resulting in the "Firefox is already running" warning remains unresolved.
To get the update now, select "Help" from the Firefox menu at the upper left of the browser window, then pick "About Firefox."
Additional information about the update is available in my blog post at Mozilla Firefox Version 30.0 Released (http://securitygarden.blogspot.com/2014/06/mozilla-firefox-version-300-released.html).
The "Menu Bar" is not enabled by default. So if yours is not visible then, as in IE and Pale Moon (but not Chrome :(), you can press the Alt key to temporarily enable it, or right-click in an empty spot in the top task bar area to enable it full time. Then you can see and select "Help" and "About Firefox" as described above.
Or install Classic Theme Restorer, and the familiar orange box is restored to the top left of your screen ... :D
