From release notes - the below was added. Thoughts ?
http://andreasgal.com/2014/10/14/openh264-now-in-firefox/
Codec disabled - we'll see if it breaks anything - you might not want to do this at home.
To make the same change, go to Add-ons > Plugins and select "Never Activate" for the OpenH264 Video Code. While you're on the plugins page, it wouldn't hurt to click the link at the top of the page to "Check to see if your plugins are up to date".
Plug-ins are current less the OpenH264 which I'm finding to be extraneous (you might not want to do this at home) - which is disabled. No issues rendering any video playback that I've encountered as of yet.
Firefox 33.0.2: Fixed a startup crash with some combination of hardware and drivers
h/t siljaline: Also included is one critical security update -- although at this point it is mislabeled as being fixed in 33.0.3, Security Advisories for Firefox (https://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox/).
Not to get everyone more confused, siljaline pointed me to the fancy new Security Advisories page with the big red heading. I'm the one who misread the update number.
The Mozilla mislabelled advisory is MFSA2104-73 (https://www.mozilla.org/security/advisories/mfsa2014-73/)
Firefox 33.0.3 (November 6, 2014)
