Calendar of Updates is no longer online, and won't be coming back.
I noticed it was missing the past several days.
We can go public, saying it's "gone for good"?

There was a problem with paying the bill. Peter's laptop and desktop had broken down and he wasn't able to work out any deals with the server company so we were able to stay online. Also I want everyone to know that Peter had been working long hours and changed jobs. Daniel and I did everything we knew to do but without any information on how to pay the bill or get any backups were impossible because of the TOS site rules with the server company. Peter told me that everything was his fault and that he took full responsibility as to what has happened. Also all the backups were on his laptop which died.
So I'm formally announcing that Calendar of Updates is no longer online and will not be back online. :-(
I want to thank all our loyal members for all there help at Calendar of Updates.

As we've know for over several years now Peter has been struggling with financial and other issues that are none of my business. Why is it a constant concern when the lights go out for a few days ?
If CoU is dead for good - it's probably best served that way as it's been dying a slow death since Donna B left CoU. I was a Mod there for a while at Donna's invitation. Made some friends that post elsewhere that I sometimes encounter.
Folks that report these outages and now demise of CoU are fully aware of how to contact Peter via phone and email.
Those that compose posts at CoU and plonk them in elsewhere are going to have to learn some rudimentary HTML (http://www.webmonkey.com/2010/02/html_cheatsheet/)
Just my .02 on an also-ran topic.

It is a concern because there are people who care -- people who visited the site regularly, people who do not have access to Peter's phone/email and, even if they did, would not feel right in contacting him.
