John McAfee is unlikely to be upset by the news about his former company. When asked by the BBC what he thought about the name change to Intel Security, McAfee said: "I am now everlastingly grateful to Intel for freeing me from this terrible association with the worst software on the planet. These are not my words, but the words of millions of irate users."
"My elation at Intel's decision is beyond words," he said.
John McAfee and Peter Norton had great programs. When the companies fell into other hands, the security programs also fell in quality.
Belize doings and porn preferences aside, McAfee is certainly a character, and appears to be quite a staunch advocate for privacy.
