And this is the end of Summer...
Since last year, the last Sunday of August, made me unhappy... It was the end of fun, the start of hard work and reading.
But this summer was different for me. It was the most difficult period in my life. I had a car accident, I broke my foot (still have to were a special boot), I lost a friend...
That is why, for me, tomorrow is an opportunity for a new start and I am glad about this.
I don't know what is/was the meaning of summer for you, but I would like to wish you all the best for the next months of the year! A new beginning for everyone!!!

A thick dust cloud from Syria has settled over parts of Cyprus yesterday and is expected to last till the end of the week. The very high temperatures for the season (41 degrees C) make the atmosphere condition even worse.

Sounds pretty hot to me 8). Well, we only have 22 degrees C which is enough here. :D
93° here today which is 34° C and that's uncomfortably hot for this time of year. Forget 41° C - way too hot.
We've had more day 90° and above in September than we have had the rest of the summer.

Yes, it's very strange that September's temperatures are higher than August's!
The worst is the dust cloud... We can't go outside, and we can't stay with open windows at home and work. Who knows what toxic things from bombs we are breathing now...
Yup, I'm East coast USA, Pennsylvania.
Your city looks like pictures I've seen from the Western US where everything is smoky because of all the fires. People in several states have the same breathing problems you face. Do you wear a mask when you have to go out?

Older people on meds don't do much in the way of adult beverages. My drink of choice is hot black coffee even in the summer. I do drink iced tea but I think I drink way more coffee than iced tea even when it is hot out.

I know that :)...It's why we are fooling around in your country all the time, at that time of the year, enjoying your great country. I think that 35 degrees is the highest temperature we have had, and 35 degrees here is like sitting on a hot cooking plate. I would prefer alot of very cold Coca Cola or just some black coffee (without sugar and milk) :)
We just transitioned from 33-34 C (92-94F) daytime to 14-17C (58-62) in the last few days. The body doesn't adjust to it very quickly.
I prefer black coffee year round, heat doesn't have anything to do with it. I tend to drink my coffee in the mornings, not so much in the afternoon. I'm more of a cold coca-cola drinker like frands, in the later part of the day, like now with dinner.
Good morning! Finally, we can see the blue sky again, and temperature is back to 37 degrees C.

I'm not alcohol's friend either. In very special occasions I may drink some beer and red wine.
In a daily basis I drink my frape coffee (summer), as well as filter coffee (winter). I also love very cold soft drinks.
FRANDS, I am glad to hear that you have visited this area of the world many times! Where exactly have you been?
It would be great if I could suggest to you some beautiful places to visit, next time!
TECHIE, 14C is the normal temperature for winter. I don't like it, because I spend most of the season sick, with flue, fever and so on!

Frape coffee
I'm not complaining I can handle 14-23C is where we will pretty much stay the next six weeks. I can handle that and is actually my favorite type of weather. In a few months 14C will feel like a heatwave.
