Well finally!!! I know that the good Captain has been peeking in once in a while, since I have been encouraging him for months, but finally he is making his appearance official. I am sure that he is another refugee who has now mostly given up on the sad and seemingly increasingly 'unfriendly' situation at the "old haunt."

I've just arrived from a cold, dark and unfriendly place (I dare not mention the name so as not to disturb it's death throes). I really appreciate the warm, bright and friendly welcome greetings I've received here! I've taken a bit of time to explore LzD and I've seen that many friends abandoned the sinking ship and moved here - long before I took the plunge.
Corrine, if I get annoying in the future, please remember that v_v has made this public statement, "...I have been encouraging him for months..." which, according to my point of view, relieves me of any responsibility for the number and/or content of any posts I might make. :)
With only one post at this point, you haven't annoyed anyone yet. ;D
We're definitely a different type of place that the other but I think there is enough to go around to keep everyone happy. We're more "international" so don't get into political discussions although honor veterans from all countries (although before my time, thinking about the Battle of Britain fought 75 years ago.)

I stayed at the old place as long as I could stand it. I had hopes that things would improve but had to leave because of the extremely bad advice given (such as don't use anti-virus, etc.) and the contemptuous attitude. Oh well, so much for what was and on to better things here where I hope to contribute something of value from time to time. I know that I'll receive more knowledge than I can give in return.
