I just upgraded to Windows 10 from 7, and when I try to open WinPatrol, I just see the symbol for it on my taskbar, but the User Interface does not open, no matter what I try. I've tried rebooting the computer and everything else. What's going on with this?
Hi, tonynace.
Are you able to launch the interface by manually navigating to Program Files (x86) > Ruiware > WinPatrol and double-clicking WinPatrolEx.exe?
Having the same issue. WinPatrol Explorer shows up on task bar and Task Manager, but no UI appears. If I right-click / Maximize in Task Manager, I get a blank "Win Patrol Plus" window. Only option is to kill Win Patrol explorer. The regular green Scotty icon in the system tray can be right-clicked, but no selected options ever appear no matter what is chosen from the menu except the maintenance tasks...the others just launch the blue WinPatrol explorer window in the task bar...but no UI.
I recommend you uninstall WinPatrol, then download the latest version and install it again.
I've tried opening it from the file location mentioned, and still the same result. Uninstalled and then re-installed, but no difference there either.
