Title: Discussion - Adobe Flash Player and AIR December 2015 Critical Security Updates
Post by: DR M on December 08, 2015, 07:11:45 PM
Thank you , Corrine.

There are automatic updates for Edge too?

Is this link (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3035034) a newer one, or it has nothing to do with the subject of the topic?

Yes, both IE and Microsoft Edge receive automatic updates for Flash player so you only need to update the plugin version for Firefox/Pale Moon.

KB 3035034 is the Microsoft Security Advisory for the Flash Player updates for IE in January, 2015.

Thank you.
Why do you suggest to install the updates of July 2013, and not of January 2015, if don't want to set the updates to automatic?

The numbering increment for Flash plug-in does not match that of Internet Explorer.

I am AIR Free! (https://www.landzdown.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.walagata.com%2Fw%2Fperk%2Fhappy0005.gif&hash=46f2401cbd9ae7375b42831b8f41816221cb9cab)

I was troubleshooting Jacquie Lawson. I installed AIR in 2014 because I was told I needed it for the site to work. In the process of using 2 different computers, one with AIR and one without, I figured how how to get it to work and also got it working on the AIR free computer.

One less bit of software to worry about patching/updating.
