ANOTHER LFC FAN?
;D
I became Chelsea's fan, because of the team's colors -blue and white- which are the colors of my team, in my country: Anorthosis Famagusta. But Liverpool has something that is touching me! Especially when I hear this song.
Winchester, did you watch the movie WILL?
Yes indeed. Istanbul 2005 ... down 3-0 at halftime, 3 goals scored in 6 minutes, followed by a penalty shootout and Dudek saves a Milan shot for the win. :)

You refer to the colors only or to the team as well? :)

Another story is that the song, You'll Never Walk Alone by Gerry & The Pacemakers(1963) is still a very popular song here, not only if we are talking football, but in all its aspects. This song is the pure golden sound of Liverpool. At the time when that song came out, it was a bit hard to get the latest hit records from the UK and USA. Also we had the same problems with our national radio as the Brits had with The BBC radio at that time. So the UK had the pirate radio Radio Caroline and we had the Radio Mercur fooling around in the North Sea, playing great music. Esbjerg is the official port to Great Britain. Esbjerg was Denmark's Liverpool (cultural) at that time in the 60's-80's, if we are talking pop music, rock 'n' roll and the lifestyle. In the 60's & 70's we called that genre of music "Barbed Wire" music because of its raw sound. There is a danish version of You'll Never Walk Alone but the British version is much much better and a must have in a music collection ;) :)
It seems that Europa will go to Liverpool this year. :)
Today was the last memorial event at Anfield: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/apr/15/hillsborough-memorial-service-anfield
The last game did have a bit of an Istanbul feel to it, but I suspect the Reds have some work ahead of them. Villarreal at home for the next leg, will be tough one.

Let's see wut happens ;) :) I hope all the best! 8)
Hutlihut how it goes these days :) Liverpool - Villarreal 3-0 8). I guess the local liverpool fans sang this line. "We all sunk the yellow submarine tra lala" instead of "We're all living in a yellow submarine", after the match :P
and 2 X gold to our local ice hockey team and women's handball team within 2 weeks.......
