My husband continues to have problems with his HP laptop. Now it keeps pausing.....
It keeps saying..."Aol not responding"..."recover web page" then it starts all over again. So I just now was going to get Chrome browser for him and it did the same thing...said not responding. He says it happens all the time and I don't think it is just aol.
We are using a router but I use my phone and my Kindle besides my HP desk top in the other room and don't have a problem.
Any thoughts?
Just trying to define the problem better here...

Chrome said it was not responding?
Is AOL your ISP?
In checking the previous post about Casi's husband's device, AOL is his start page, Need help with Husband's laptop! (http://www.landzdown.com/computer-problems-questions-and-solutions!/need-help-with-husband%27s-laptop!/).
Casi, please try on another website to see if the Not Responding occurs. In fact, is there a problem loading this site?
Corrine, it is all of them! He spends a lot of time just waiting!!
Just to confirm -- when you say you use a router, is your husband's device connected to the router or is he using wi-fi?
Of course I would be happy to look at logs again. There were other things that I recall needed addressing. (Log Posting Instructions (http://www.landzdown.com/analysis-and-malware-removal/log-posting-instructions/))
He is using wi fi
See if he has the same problem when physically attached to the router. Then we can rule out wi-fi being an issue.
At first I thought was it but it is still giving those messages. It is very slow to load a page. When he is on the AOL homepage and he clicks on something that he is interested in reading, often times that is when it gets bogged down and has to re-load. But just switching from it to his e-mail is a problem. What do ya think?
Since it is still slow when connected to the router, I can look at logs as offered above.
Corrine....sorry, life got in my way again! But hubbie is still grumbling about his lap top. I am going to post my logs...hope I'm doing it right.
