ICYMI: Mainstream Support for Windows 8.1 Has Ended (https://www.groovypost.com/news/mainstream-support-for-windows-8-1-has-ended/) -- and I did miss it.  As shown in the article, Extended Support ends January 10, 2023, so another five years of security updates ahead.

Wow. I missed it too. I guess because W8.x is in the category of Windows Me and Vista. Most users either skipped it, or quickly upgraded away from it.
