It is totally unacceptable that Chrome recommends Bitdefender, Symantec, AVG, Malwarebytes, and Kaspersky products be removed after a Chrome crash because they are incompatible. Injecting into the process is somewhat risky, so I get Google's position here. Google builds the code to run a certain way, and when something else starts shoving its own code in there, it can lead to instability, and therefore users not being happy with Google/Chrome because all they see is Chrome crashing away.
Perhaps Google should include security APIs for well-vetted solutions or something similar.
That would make more sense, Aaron, than suggesting people uninstall their security program.
