On one of my banking sites, there is a security feature that lets you see what devices have logged into your account.
I normally have accessed that account from FireFox browser. However, today, I logged in via Pale Moon browser. Same computer, by the way.
All my previous logins were listed as Windows NT 10.
The login from Pale Moon was listed as
Windows NT 6.1 (which is basically Win 7, my previous version before updating to 10)
Not sure what exactly that means, but I thought it was interesting.
Good to see you're doing background checks :)
There are a number of sites where Pale Moon will automatically feed the server a 'compatible' User Agent string to enable users to login correctly, this is usually done when the company behind the site incorrectly block Pale Moon's real UA strings as 'incompatible' (and display no sign of wanting to make the simple correction - 'we don't support that browser' - even though it's obvious to all that their site works fine with it).
There are some banking and similar 'secure' sites that will allow insecure browsers/Protocols to connect (which decreases security and increases the chance of 'man in the middle' and other exploits happening); Pale Moon will 'refuse' to connect to servers that only offer 'insecure' connections, the mainstream browsers (that your bank will probably connect to regardless of any obvious insecurity loophole) usually either silently allow connection or enable you to bypass the 'block' easily, often with a 'permanently allow' option which may even be the default (so not even a warning next time).
I didn't get any kind of browser flag there. It just let me log into the site normally.

I sometimes see a warning telling me "Your browser is out of date!".
satrow will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that warning is seeing the Pale Moon User Agent string as being outdated Firefox.

I bet you are right since I am frequently pointed to the latest version of FF.
