Is there a way to turn off the "Show news and interests" on the Taskbar?
I can turn it off in Taskbar settings and it will be back in no time. I followed these instructions and set to Disable, and it still comes back?

Hi, Ron.
Curiously, I don't have it on my taskbar on Windows 11 (Windows Insider Beta Build) and actually don't recall having to remove it.
Anyway, the Windows Club instructions didn't include disabling the widget as in the instructions in this Livewire article: How to Disable the News Widget in Windows 11 (https://www.lifewire.com/disable-news-and-interests-taskbar-in-windows-11-5190865).
RIGHT-click (in any open area) on your task bar.
A drop-down menu should pop-up.
Move your cursor to NEWS AND INTERESTS.
A sub-menu should be revealed.
Select (check) TURN OFF.
Thanks for all the help but News and Interests would still show up on the taskbar again.
I followed the instructions in this link again and turned the computer off for the night and so far it has not come back.

Sure, hope it stays gone because every time the pointer came close to News and Interests it would popup and fill half of the screen with junk.
Hi, Ron.
Has News an Interests stayed off?
Thanks for askin Corrine.
So far News an Interests icon has not showed up again on the taskbar. It sure is nice not having that nasty popup every time the pointer moved through that icon.
It certainly appears that it worked!
