I have the free version of Malwarebytes. I did a scan and it came up that I have 7 critical issues. Do I have to enroll in the pay version to remedy these issues, or is there another way to solve the problem?
Hi, Mare. Welcome back!
After the scan, there is an option to quarantine these files. You don't need to have the paid version of Malwarebytes to do that.
I made an error. It was AVG free version that I used to scan and came up with issues. Since I read your reply, I did an MLB scan, which didn't detect any issues. Should I be concerned with the AVG scan?
What the AVG scan showed? Can you take a picture of the result?
I'm having a problem with getting the screenshot from the clipboard to this window. For some reason I just can't get the hang of clipboard. I have windows 11 and am supposed to press the Windows logo + V. When I do that a window pops up with the screenshot, then I can't get the image to this window. Help!!!

Mare, to attach a picture in the forum you need to follow a different procedure than the copy/paste one.
Click on the "Click or drag files here to attach them" as shown in my screenshot. Find your saved picture and then click Open.
After that, click on the blue arrow and choose Insert.

Nothing I do brings the screenshot anywhere. I just can't move it. I can't circle it. I just can't move anything from clipboard once I get it there.
Did you save the screenshot/picture in your Desktop? If not, let me know to start from there.
I've saved it to the screenshot folder in my photos, then can't get it from there to here. i always have trouble moving files.
Since you have already saved the picture, you just need to follow my instructions above. :)
Click on the Reply button (IMPORTANT) under my reply.
Then... as I wrote above:

Mare,
Since no malware was found, I wouldn't worry.
Every antivirus finds a way to make the users move to their premium version.
My recommendation is to uninstall free version and stay with the built-in antivirus, Microsoft Defender. You don't need anything else.
Thank you for your patience and advice. I got that screenshot posted almost by accident. I was just about to give up. If I had to do it again, I don't know if I could. For some reason, I always have a problem when the clipboard is involved.
