Forever In Our Hearts / Re: Netty, Forever and Always
« on: December 13, 2017, 07:59:04 PM »
Dear Hammy, this is so sad I don't know what to say to comfort you. May Netty rest in peace, and though we are kilometers away whatever you may need count on it if it's at my hand, just chatting or talking over the phone or what you may need, just name it.

You have to be brave my friend, and we are here to support you in every way we can. I know I'm not around much these days, but here I am to help you stand up and keep going on.

Excuse my rusty English, please, the intended words are there in a way or other.

A giant {{{HUG}}} accross the ocean, and my prayers for the soul of your beloved Netty.

Alejandro

I will post what I wrote before, because I don't have words.

I feel terrible today. I'm so sorry for such a loss. Björn and I have spent some nights chatting about life in general, and I remember him as a very warm and passionate person.

Please give my salute to his family. Having so many bad people in the world we have to lose the one that enlighten us. Sometimes life seems to be so unfair...

I can't write more. Sorry.

I haven't treated Rojas much in LS, but it's always sad when valuable people like him leave us. I only hope he's in peace and resting now, and his memory will remain in our hearts and minds.

Phishing, Spam and Hoaxes / It's really funny...
« on: July 20, 2005, 06:41:28 PM »
I receive phishing mail as well as spam mail, but the former are always in English and referring in most cases to entities that doesn't have representatives in my country, like some banks.

But the best of it is that some 'phishers' think that the only IE versions that exist are the English ones, so they fix their traps using the English layout. For instance, the word Address in one of the bars is shorter than its version in Spanish, so the fake URL shows up imediately:

Notice that I moved the Links (Vínculos) bar to show the real address, and how the 'phisher' tried to apply one over the other, without success in this case.

This is the fake email I received:

Notice that it is a bmp image.

And I don't have an eBay account... :D
