« on: August 30, 2014, 10:55:15 PM »
Hello,

Have not posted here in a very long time.

I have a question yesterday I got a prompt for a new version V32 I see it's been out since July and I don't recall seeing a update for V31 either.

Running plus on a W7sp1.

TY.

Great! I'm impressed!

I have been clean for many years it's getting hard to be safe. :(

I notice leftover entries from AOL, AVG, IESpell, One-care and Lavasoft should I be safe and just leave them?

I was thinking of doing a system restore to gain back that folder I lost and save me time re-doing the shortcuts. What do you think?

Thanks so much for you time!

ATTENTION: VirusTotal is a free service offered by Hispasec Sistemas.
There are no guarantees about the availability and continuity of this service.
Although the detection rate afforded by the use of multiple antivirus engines
is far superior to that offered by just one product, these results DO NOT
guarantee the harmlessness of a file. Currently, there is not any solution
that offers a 100% effectiveness rate for detecting viruses and malware.

Corrine, I fogot to answer your questions in my last reply. Yes, I know how to create shortcuts. Not sure what happened and why is disappeared. No, I did not run mbam. I did run ATF cleaner - can't believe I did that. :(  I was doing some research and ran it afterward.  My system was acting some what queer.

Eric The Red,  Okay. I will back with the results.

Question: Should I have disabled Rubotted?

Disclaimer
This service is by no means 100% safe. If this scanner says 'OK', it does not necessarily mean the file is clean. There could be a whole new virus on the loose. NEVER EVER rely on one single product only, not even this service, even though it utilizes several products. Therefore, We cannot and will not be held responsible for any damage caused by results presented by this non-profit online service.

Also, we are aware of the implications of a setup like this. We are sure this whole thing is by no means scientifically correct, since this is a fully automated service (although manual correction is possible). We are aware, in spite of efforts to proactively counter these, false positives might occur, for example. We do not consider this a very big issue, so please do not e-mail us about it. This is a simple online scan service, not the university of Wichita.

Scanning can take a while, since several scanners are being used, plus the fact some scanners use very high levels of (time consuming) heuristics. Scanners used are Linux versions, differences with Windows scanners may or may not occur. Another note: some scanners will only report one virus when scanning archives with multiple pieces of malware.

Virus definitions are updated every hour. There is a 10Mb limit per file. Please refrain from uploading tons of hex-edited or repacked variants of the same sample.

Please do not ask for viruses uploaded here, unless you work for an anti-virus vendor. They are not for trade. This is a legitimate service, not a VX site. Viruses uploaded here will be distributed to antivirus vendors without exception. Read more about this in our privacy policy. If you do not want your files to be distributed, please do not send them at all.

Security Software Programs / MBAM
« on: December 29, 2008, 06:36:25 PM »
Hello everyone,   New to MBAM forum.

My quick launch keys stopped working MBAM scan showed clean results. Then I decided to do a scan in safe mode the results.

Zlob.Trojan, Rogue.VirusTrigger, Rogue.Errorsmart, Rogue.System Antivirus 2008.url (Rogue.VirusTrigger).

Rebooted and deleted what MBAM found.  Ran some more scans in quick scan, full scan and in safe mode and no infections found.  My concern is my system clean and why safe mode was the only way to find a problem.  My anti-virus and other software is kept updated and run often. Nothing found prior to running MBAM.

Thanks for your time.
