Seems like a good idea to enable it if its functional and not glitchy.

It is glitchy and not recommended for use at this stage. It has the potential to give BSOD and other problems - so I have read.

Pieter, very sorry to read about your loss. Sincere condolences to you and family.  :'(

Yet you found time to help me on MBAM.

Great about the points.

I am going to have to cease folding. My PCs just cannot handle it any longer and are close to overheating. They were all bought in the late 2009-2010 - 1 desktop and 2 laptops and I could hear the fans laboring and see core temperatures running above specs even on light setting. With my 30 years work of Family trees on them I was not about to lose that work. They are now running much cooler and no audible fan noise.

I may try one of the laptops again when I get a chance to off-load some of its work.

Sorry about this.  :'( :'(

Peter in Australia.

I was/am already running on another team 37053. I am now the only one folding after all these years. Accrued points so far 3732805 WUs 8050 (not sure of end date). I have now another handle on that team. So far 20865 Points and WUs 42 since end of March till today 12 April. I am sure you can pick up both handles on that team.

I would be willing to switch over.  ;) ;)

I tend to agree with you after looking at the Firefox add-on.

F.B. Purity actually makes Facebook usable.

I have 'Install F.B. Purity - Clean Up and Customize Facebook' installed. Should I remove this if I install the Firefox add-on?

Yes, you can use Libre Office. It is Freeware and contains everything except Outlook.

I use it on my laptop just as editor etc.

The file itself is still vulnerable, but since you have turned IE off and don’t use it to surf the web it can’t be exploited.

Thanks for the replies. I have disabled IE11 on my 3 PCs running W7.

Sincere regards, Peter.

Thank you @plodr. I will check this out. I do not use IE except for the odd occasion (3 PCs). Mainly use Firefox with a few extensions. Also run Beta and Dev M$ Chrome browser at times just to see how it protects a test Laptop.
Opinion on 0Patch would be appreciated by anyone - thanks.

Microsoft released Security Advisory ADV200001 for a remote code execution vulnerability with limited active attacks in Internet Explorer.  The issue is described as the way that the scripting engine handles objects in memory in Internet Explorer.

Sorry can't remember how to quote. My question is: Before installation of January updates I removed the advisory and then installed updates on 3 PCs running Windows 7 Home Premium x64. Do I now install the advisory again or not bother?

On Windows 7 Home Premium x64: Please note that 'SFC /scannow' will not run clean unless the Advisory is removed.
