I would be more worried about slack remote connection policies. This would give an antagonist physical access as if they were there. They could also do it undetected if other vulnerabilities were present. ie: SSH, RDP, etc.

Flash Player EOL was reached by the end of 2020. That means that it is no longer supported for security or other updates. As I understand, nothing that was using it works now. So, all those flash games and applications are dead too? I thought it would be a user's choice, using the expired flash player or not. I was asked today about some educational flash games and I wonder if there is an instant solution for this.
Yes, I had a few screensavers that simply quit working, they only display the "f" symbol in the middle of the screen.

Happy New Year!

I've been on it for a week now on one of the PC's I manage and it's running smoothly with no apparent issues.

I've played intensive games, youtube, Remote in and out from work and to work. All seems to be fine.

The SteelSeries software for my mouse and keyboard is working fine.

The various drivers I use to plug my guitar into an interface are working fine. (they are finicky and prone to issues)

I will give it some more time though.

x299 Motherboard, Intel 7960X CPU, 2 Nvidia GTX 1080 in SLi.

I will add you to my prayers. I'm very sorry for your loss.

You can also open services.msc and disable all those xbox services from running automatically. You can uninstall these apps but if the service is still running, the service will keep "looking".

However, unless MS changes their modus operandi they will be re-enabled with every Major MS Update.

I'm moving my main PC to the RTX 3080 when it releases. I'll move the 2 1080's I have now into the unit in the pic above so we should be crunching some slightly better numbers with that.
Then again, the 3080 may not perform better with Folding, but I think it will.

Corrine, can you merge my 2 posts above? I didn't mean to double post. I simply got excited talking about the RTX 3080  ;D

Security Software Programs / Re: SUPERAntispyware merges with Avira

Interesting. I use SuperAntiSpyware from time to time. I can only hope its only a company merger and not a software merger. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with Avira, I simply do not use it, or any 3rd party AV for that matter. (Win 10)

Thanks for the insight.

Ok! I added another computer dedicated for Folding only. It's my old gaming system I gutted the giant case and put it one of those open air test bench things. Looks like crap but it's folding. i7 980X 6 core, GTX 970.

Another thing I use is software to raise my fan speeds on my Vid cards. It works very well.
