From your shot it looks like you are trying to get to windows update through Palemoon.
In Windows 7, you get to Windows update through the control panel.

I tried update through Palemoon and was told to go through the Control Panel and allow certain activex settings in Internet Explorer.

Thanks. So my icon is okay.
Maybe I didn't do as bad as I thought.

I considered removing the addon, rebooting, then reinstalling it. I'll just let it stand for awhile.

Perhaps I did something wrong. I did not uninstall ABP because I was afraid it would not pick up my settings. I intended to do that after I had installed ABL.
ABL installed and ABP is nowhere to be found in my addon list, so I can't uninstall it.
The icon remains the same with the ABP on it. It doesn't look like the shield that shows ABL in my addon list.

This is my desktop computer. I test everything first on this one before I move to the other computers.
I'll wait for more clarification before I do anything to the other three Win 7 computers.

Was it down for about 2 hours?

Mine solved itself in that time period so I suspected server maintenance as the cause but who knows. You are rarely told when something will happen or for how long.

Well, I give your politicians a pat on the back for coming up with a unique explanation..."the wrong kind of snow".
Did they bother explaining what the right kind of snow is?

It was down for me on Tuesday for about 2 hours, right around this time of day.
They are probably doing something to your server.

I googled on Tuesday and saw others in my time zone were having a problem so I waited to see when it would come back.

Aren't you glad you don't live in Buffalo?

We get 2 feet here at a time and the city comes to a standstill. I can not, nor do I want to, imagine getting hit with 6 feet of the stuff.

Thanks. One computer updated; three more to go.

Not necessarily. If the infection occurs in user A's documents, it quarantines those as it scans all parts of drive C. If User B has nothing infected, then nothing of user B's files will be quarantined.

The point is, it hunts down malware on the entire computer and removes it from wherever it is located on the hard drive.

Think of it as the computer being infected or clean. Do not think about the individual users.

If you watch while something is scanning, it scans the hard drive. It has nothing to do with the users account.

I just started getting this today. You can turn off Use Firefox Compatibility mode under the Advanced tab of Options but then google seach goes back to the old black bar at the top.

I just click dismiss when I see the message and read my email.

remove the = and replace with a ]
at the end add a close tag, which is [/img] but first remove the ] after gif
