Since updating to the latest version, I find that Firefox (my default browser) crashes half a dozen times a day.

Does anybody else suffer with this problem?

My OS is Vista Premium, and Firefox is on the default theme.

My add-ons are ColorfulTubs, WOT and AVG Safe Search.

Any ideas please?

I'm finding Firefox to be more resource hungry as versions go on. Don't know about anyone else, but I'm seeing this here on my system.

Have you tried disabling the addons? Firefox has a 'Safe Mode', where it defaults to, well, the default when Firefox is installed, and disables everything else. Usually, you can access this by Start > Programs > Mozilla Firefox > Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode).

See if it changes anything, also, does it crash at certain sites? Maybe a particular plugin is acting up.
Beta. Software undergoes beta testing shortly before it's released. Beta is Latin for 'still doesn't work.'

Thank you for the responce SpyDie.

There is no patern with the crashes....They seem to be totally random.

I have disabled the add-ons via Safe Mode, as per your advice.......Will run it in Safe mode for a couple of days and see what happens.
Will report back....

Hmmm!!....I see what you mean SpyDie.......Just checked my system and FF is 4 times as resource hungry as Chrome.......

It indeed looks like some plug-in is playing up, as it works absolutely fine in safe mode.

However, it is not worth investigating any further, as I will probably get rid of FF in favour of Chrome, which is so much lighter on resources....

Thank you for the help SpyDie...
